Merry Christmas - Don't Pee Your Pants

I know that Elf Yourself is a not a new thing but I swear it makes me laugh every time I see it so what better way to wish you all a very Merry Christmas than by making you laugh along with my family! Hope your Christmas Day is extra special. (That's my dad alongside my girls)

Beautiful Little Family

This is my brother, his wife and his little girl. Aren't they cute? They, too, were bundled up for the Christmas parade. Then Joey bought a light up pacifier just for fun and let Robin have it. I wonder if it made her eyes go crazy!

One Funny Kid

My nephew, Trent, has had the best sense of humor since he began interacting with people. He just knows what is funny and he loves to laugh. While we were waiting for the Christmas parade to begin, he wanted to show me his boots. Then I just had to capture his song on the video too. He made it up - saying "I got the school bus. I got the school bus." Oh, I just love this kid!

Small Town Pageant

Last night we bundled ourselves up and drove downtown (7 entire blocks) to watch my home town's Christmas parade. Half the town was out sitting on the curbs enjoying the excitment of Christmas. There was someone we knew with every passing group and my dad kept waving and shouting "Hey! That's my neighbor!" I experienced a great sense of nostalgia as I watched the color guard march with one of the 4 members never quite moving correctly to the cadence, the high school band wearing flashing rudolph noses, the group of guitarists that obviously didn't bother to tune their instruments before hitting the pavement, and then one tractor after another pulling the floats. Yes, that's small town USA for you.

Will Someone Convince them it's Winter!

Each morning my 2 oldest children come out with capris and short-sleeved shirts on. Additionally, each morning the outside thermometer reads 42 degrees or less. There seems to be a little "disconnect" going on in our home. I usually make one or two comments and then let them make their own choices. So, this evening they left the house with short-sleeves on. (At least Natalie took a light jacket.) But after standing outside for a few minutes they realized Mom might truly be correct - it's COLD OUTSIDE IN DECEMBER!

One Cute Kid

This past week Camille has been called a boy several different times. Funny how that doesn't even phase me. (If she were my firstborn I would be definitely be upset). This little one loves to laugh and her sisters are the best at getting giggles out of her. We are having so much fun with her in our home.

Christmas Program

We just got home from our Elementary School Christmas Program. The kids performed by grade level and they truly were cute to watch. Amanda was so focused on the conductor and knew every word and hand motion. Allyson sparkled and smiled and especially enjoyed the funny song they sang about snow. I wasn't sure the night was going to be worth it when we were frantically trying to get dinner shoved down throats, showers taken, hair styled and the right colored tights onto little legs. I should've known that there truly is a special spirit watching children sing.

Oh, do I love him!

We've been married over 17 years now & I know I am one lucky lady to be the wife of this man.

Yeah! It's done!

I've been asked to lead our youth musical again this upcoming Spring. Thanks to my awesome sister, Cyndi, we designed this cover for our programs, advertising, scripts, etc. If you're interested in getting a copy of the script, let me know. Our performances are March 14 & 15. Mark your calendars!

Little Miss Madilyn

This is my niece, Madilyn (Ashli's little girl). Troy shared some of his frozen yogurt with her and once she got past the coldness, she LOVED it.

Thanksgiving Fun

We have been having so much fun around here that I've been a slacker on updating my blog. Forgive me and enjoy the photos of our adventures. We took the kids to see "Bolt" (I highly recommend it!) and Ashli splurged by letting the kids take a ride on the train. Look at the pure joy on their faces!
